About Our Church

Vision Statement

Affirmation of Oneness & Purpose

We are a social justice ministry inspired by the grace and truth of God and the life and teachings of Jesus to advocate as agents of the Holy Spirit for systemic change in our community, produce equal access to just opportunities, and confront inequality, oppression, and the social ills which result from those causes.

We praise and worship God, together. We petition God, together. We proclaim God, together. We welcome all persons in God's love, together. We live for God, in every breath and heartbeat, by the power of the Holy Spirit, as followers of Jesus Christ, together.

In this prophetic collection of sermons, Griffen challenges followers of Jesus to ponder these questions:  What does it mean to be a "prophetic follower of Jesus? How will lessons in Scripture and across human history inform our action in the world? How can we speak of hope in a time of deep division—a time too often defined by racism, misogyny, materialism, militarism, religious nationalism, and xenophobia?

This is a book about parables for our times. We work with selected passages of Scripture, reading and interpreting them as parables as we attempt to understand and discern the signs of our times that we may now, perhaps too benignly, describe as times of great upheaval and confusion.

In this prophetic collection of sermons, Griffen challenges followers of Jesus to ponder these questions:  What does it mean to be a "prophetic follower of Jesus?" How will lessons in Scripture and across human history inform our action in the world? How can we speak of hope in a time of deep division—a time too often defined by racism, misogyny, materialism, militarism, religious nationalism, and xenophobia?
